In an office you often have many apps open at once โ€” an email, a document, a calculator. Jumping between them quickly makes you look sharp and saves time. Here are two easy ways.

Way 1 โ€” Alt + Tab

Alt+TabHold Alt, tap Tab to jump to your last app

Hold down the Alt key and tap the Tab key. A row of your open apps appears. Keep holding Alt and tap Tab again to move through them. Let go to choose.

Way 2 โ€” click on the Taskbar

โ–ถSwitch with the mouse

  1. 1. Look at the Taskbar

Every open app shows as an icon at the bottom.

  2. 2. Click the app you want

One click brings that app to the front.

  3. 3. It comes forward

The app you clicked now sits on top, ready to use.

Alt + Tab is fastest when your hands are on the keyboard. Clicking the Taskbar is easier when your hand is already on the mouse. Use whichever feels natural.
