Monitor — the screen you look at.
Keyboard — the keys you type on.
Mouse — the little pointer controller.
CPU / laptop body — the 'brain' that does the work.

Desktop, Laptop — what's the difference?
Desktop — separate monitor, keyboard, mouse. Stays on a table.
Laptop — everything joined together, you can carry it.
Both work the same way. Offices use both.
